PROJECT BRIEF
Website and mobile app development to keep a national membership connected.
Client: Garda Síochána Retired Members’ Association (GSRMA)
Sector: Membership Organisations
Services: Brand Asset Development, Website Development, Member Access, iOS and Android App Development, Hosting and Support
The Garda Síochána Retired Members’ Association supports the welfare, social and economic interests of retired Gardaí and its wider membership.
GSRMA partnered with JamJo to develop its digital presence, combining an updated visual identity, a responsive website, members-only access and mobile apps for iOS and Android.
The project focused on a practical purpose: helping members stay informed, access relevant information and maintain their connection with the association.
THE CHALLENGE
For a national membership organisation, a website serves an ongoing communication role.
GSRMA’s information spans pension updates, association news, publications, job notices and bereavement notices. Members need clear routes to these resources, alongside information about joining the association and accessing member services.
The digital experience also needed to distinguish public information from content reserved for registered members.
EXPERTISE

JAMJO’S APPROACH
JamJo developed digitised brand assets, including an updated association seal and supporting graphics, to give GSRMA a consistent identity across its digital channels.
The website brought association information and regularly published updates into a structured online resource. Responsive development supported access across desktop, tablet and mobile devices, while a members-only area provided a separate route to restricted content.
The result brought together the association’s public presence and member information within a connected website experience.
iOS AND ANDROID APPS
JamJo extended the member experience through mobile apps for iOS and Android.
Members could access the apps using the same credentials registered for the website’s members-only area, connecting mobile access with their existing online account.
The apps added another way for members to stay connected with GSRMA, complementing the association’s website, email communications, text alerts and printed Síocháin magazine.
RESULTS
The project gave GSRMA a coordinated digital presence spanning its website, member access and mobile apps.
Adoption provided a concrete indication of member engagement. In its Autumn 2021 issue of Síocháin, GSRMA reported 501 active iOS users and 391 active Android users—a combined 892 active app users.
For JamJo, the project demonstrates our ability to combine branding, website development and mobile applications around the communication needs of a national membership organisation.
HOSTING AND SUPPORT
JamJo’s work also included hosting, maintenance and technical support for the digital services delivered, supporting their continued operation beyond launch.
