THE PROJECT

EY Ireland wanted to provide individuals with a straightforward way to understand how changes to the Irish tax system could affect their take-home income.

The resulting online calculator needed to translate a complicated combination of income tax, tax credits, USC, PRSI, pension contributions and personal circumstances into an experience that felt clear and approachable.

THE CHALLENGE

JAMJO’S APPROACH

JamJo designed and developed a bespoke web-based calculator around the questions users naturally understand, rather than exposing the complexity of the underlying calculations.

Users can enter information including their income, marital status, pension contributions, other sources of income and relevant tax credits. The application processes this information and presents an estimated breakdown of tax, USC, PRSI and take-home income.
